About the nuXfiles

Designing without User Research is like pushing someone into a taxi and telling the driver to “Go!”

The blog

nuXfiles is dedicated space for me to collate my thoughts on everything user and UX related: from making the move from academia to industry & landing your first research role to the skills and processes necessary to run your very first (or 101st) project. Should anyone else stumble upon my little hidey hole, I hope there is something of value to reward the journey!

The author

The person behind the posts began their research journey in academia, first as a fledgling archaeologist and historian, and later as a human-computer interaction PhD researcher exploring bereavement and co-creative artificially intelligent systems. Presently, the author works in the innovation space for a prominent L&D organisation focussed on product discovery and the innovation process.
